The Village Mercantile

This gift and grocery store opened at Oakwood East in November 2001. The Mercantile is run by volunteers. Volunteer managers order and pick up the groceries from Sentry in Sun Prairie. The Mercantile charges the same price Sentry does- there is no mark-up. Some residents do all of their grocery shopping at the Mercantile!

Pharmaceuticals are provided by Oakwood's pharmacy. If a pharmacy item isn't stocked on our shelves, a call from the resident to the pharmacy will get the item delivered the next day.

Pharmaceutical items, soy candles, holiday decorations, hats, decorative nightlights, dusters, knickknacks, dishware and much more!
