The Oaks is a four-story wood frame building consisting of 90 apartment homes, ranging from approximately 1,000 to 2,000 square feet. The building features two levels of heated underground parking, a modern computer lab with high speed internet access, a well-appointed art studio, and a cozy community room, distinguished by a corner fireplace with a beautiful mantle. Residents living in The Oaks benefit from immediate access to both the rest of the Oakwood Village West Campus and the Kiwanis Heritage Trail, a partially paved, partially wood-chipped trail which runs through our nine-acre nature preserve.

Since opening in 2002, there has been strong demand for The Oaks largely due to the spacious, thoughtfully-designed floor plans and the building’s close proximity to the nature preserve. Apartment homes offer views of either the nature preserve or beautifully landscaped areas highlighted by water features.

Heritage Oaks

Heritage Oaks, opened in 2006 is the most impressive, highest-quality building ever constructed by Oakwood. This eight-story, steel and concrete project features 124 apartment homes ranging from 1,000 to nearly 2,300 square feet. These apartment homes have been designed using the most current senior-friendly design philosophies, and are filled with thoughtful amenities throughout.

This building is above two levels of heated underground parking, and features three beautiful roof gardens accessible to all residents. Heritage Oaks houses the Oakwood Village West fitness room, as well as a unique lounge highlighted by hardwood floors. Residents have immediate access to the Village Inn Dining Room and Resurrection Chapel, as well as the rest of the Oakwood Village West campus.
