Residents who live in the apartments at Oakwood Village are healthy, active men and women who chose to become a part of a lifestyle only a continuing care retirement community can provide. Oakwood offers numerous opportunities for socialization and continuing education, health and wellness programs designed to preserve and increase independence, and ensures support services are available when needed. Our community offers desirable services now for healthy seniors as well as the peace of mind that the recourses are on-site to adapt to fit their needs in the future.

People move to Oakwood Village for many of the same reasons people move to a condo when they retire: less worry over the maintenance of a home and more freedom to travel or pursue new interests. Many Oakwood apartments residents vacation, volunteer and own pets; some even continue to work.

Heated, underground parking is available for residents as well as bus transportation to many shopping centers in town. Oakwood Village residents have access to meals, gift and grocery stores, salon, pharmacy, clinic and therapy services without having to leave campus. Other conveniences on each Oakwood Village campus include: an exercise room, private dining areas, hobby and craft rooms, a library, lounges, gardens, patios, walking paths, and a beautiful chapel. Residents also have countless opportunities to develop friendships through social activities and volunteer service.

The greatest benefit of living at Oakwood is the peace of mind that additional services and levels of care are available if and when you need them. While Oakwood provides many programs to help residents live long, active lives, sometimes an unexpected health event can suddenly leave you unable to care for yourself within your own apartment. Oakwood residents and their families don’t have to worry about making moving decisions because they have priority placement into our higher levels of care.
