If you wish to express your appreciation with a contribution, you may choose to designate your gift for a specific purpose. 

 

Continuing Care Endowment Fund

This fund helps when residents are no longer able to pay the full cost of their care. Oakwood provides over $2.5 million in charitable care each year. This benefits nearly 100 residents annually.

 

General Endowment Fund

The purpose of this fund is to ensure the continued mission of the Oakwood Foundation and to help with new and innovative programs such as SAIL which assists older people to remain independent in their homes.

 

Jackson Quality of Life Endowment Fund

The purpose of this fund is to cover the cost of training for staff to improve the quality of life for Oakwood residents. It is used primarily to benefit Oakwood staff and to address the critical nursing shortage by paying for tuition and books for employees enrolled in Nursing School.

 

Pastoral Care Endowment Fund

This fund supports Oakwood’s ecumenical outreach ministries in the community and the Parish Nurse Program. These programs help people in many churches in Dane County and the Allied Drive Neighborhood.

 

Other Projects

Contributions can be specified for general operations or may be designated for particular buildings or programs. Examples might be for construction or renovation projects, improving the exterior grounds, activity programs, artwork, staff appreciation. Foundation staff can help you with this decision.
