Individuals are often touched by the care they, a loved one or friend receives at Oakwood Village.

Ways to Give

Not only does your gift benefit residents at Oakwood and others we serve in the community, but it also may benefit you by providing a charitable deduction, income for life, tax savings and the satisfaction of helping others. There are many ways you can give:

Cash Gift

Cash gifts are welcomed for general and designated purposes keeping in mind both the intent of the donor and the policies and priorities of the Foundation and its related entities. Cash gifts can also be made in the form of a pledge.

Gift of Negotiable Securities

Gifts of negotiable securities are accepted under the same policy guidelines as cash gifts. Donations of appreciated stock provide benefits to Oakwood and the donor.

Bequest

Remembering Oakwood in your will provides future support for our ministry and allows you to determine how your property will be distributed. Bequests should be made to the Oakwood Foundation, Inc.

Charitable Gift Annuity

The Foundation is authorized by the Wisconsin Insurance Commission to issue charitable gift annuities to qualified donors. In exchange for a gift of cash or stock, Oakwood can provide you (and/or another person) with income for life, part of which is tax free, and a substantial tax deduction. The annuity rate is based partially on the age of the donor...older donors receive increased income.

Charitable Remainder Trust

Through a Charitable Remainder Trust, you can irrevocably gift assets to a trust and receive an annual payment for life or a term of years, receive an immediate charitable deduction and bypass, reduce and/or eliminate various taxes.

Gift of Insurance

Many people own insurance policies which are no longer needed for their original purposes. Policies transferred to the Foundation or new policies naming Oakwood owner and beneficiary benefit both Oakwood and the donor.

Gift in Kind

Donations of services and non-cash gifts such as furniture, art, jewelry may be accepted providing they reflect the needs and mission of the organization. It is the donor's responsibility to provide a written estimate of the fair market value of the articles or services on the form provided by Oakwood.

Contributions should be made payable to:

Person's Name
"After dad died, mom couldn’t take care of herself at home anymore.  Living here has been the next best thing.  It comforts us to know she is taken care of, and gives us peace of mind knowing she’s happy. Our family has spent Thanksgiving here, and we’ve had Mom’s birthday parties here too.  We’ve enjoyed the staff.  They go out of their way to provide the best care and activities."
