About Oakwood

Oakwood is an organization with strong Madison roots.  Established by an association of Lutheran churches in 1948, we have earned an outstanding reputation in the Madison area for the quality of care we provide to older adults of all religious, ethnic and economic backgrounds.

Our primary focus is to serve our residents in a holistic manner, nurturing the health of the mind, body and spirit of older adults.  Whether your interests involve maintaining your physical health and wellness, continuing education through one of our many life-long learning opportunities, engaging in activities, volunteering or other social opportunities, or simplifying your life by taking advantages of the many daily conveniences offered at Oakwood, you are sure to find our community offers the greatest value.

Oakwood Village is a thriving community of nearly 1,000 residents and is recognized as a national leader in the provision of retirement services because of our commitment to helping older adults attain or maintain their highest level of well being and our connection with Madison's superior health care and learning institutions.
